If future releases were in the spotlight during the last State of Play, Sony does not forget to pamper its old successes. In addition to the PC port of Spider-Man, Horizon: Forbidden West is getting a big update which greatly increases its replayability. Available today, it introduces the New Game+ mode. You can therefore restart an adventure in the Forbidden West with all the earnings from your previous epic. To test your learning, the new Ultra Hard difficulty will send us on the kneecaps.
Horizon: Forbidden West is looking good
To better enjoy New Game+, Guerilla Games has optimized its baby. Performance mode is visually more shimmering and detailed. A graphic improvement that embellishes an already magnificent adventure for peepers.
Be aware that the New Game+ mode is the only way to unlock new content. If the new dyes and warpaints are appreciable, these are especially the new weapons that change gameplay. To get them, you have to farm tokens by completing quests. Each weapon costs 10 tokens. On the armor side, it is now possible to transmogrify them. This well-known feature on MMOs allows you to merge the appearance of one piece of armor with the stats and bonuses of another. Thus, it is possible to completely customize its look without sacrificing its build !
Finally, to have a lot of fun in New Game+ or try new things during your normal adventure, it is now possible to reset skills. Perfect for approaching the game with a fresh eye or correcting a bad investment.
On top of that, a bunch of miscellaneous bugs have been fixed and cleaned up. You can find the complete patch notes on reddit (in English).
