The plot of The Kissing Booth 3 picks up where it left off in the previous movie. Now that Ella, Lee and Rachel have graduated, they are about to spend their last summer at the Beach House. Determined to make the most of it, the two childhood friends set off in a race against time to tick all the boxes on their Bucket List.. Sandcastle competitions, kart racing, aquapark, parachute jumping, parties galore … all the ingredients seem to be in place for them to remember their vacation forever. But that was before Marco popped up in town and Ella finally chose to go to Harvard despite Lee. This is where the trouble starts.

The cast of The Kissing Booth 3 consists of Joey king in the role of Her, of Jacob Elordi in Noah’s, from Joel courtney aka Lee and Meganne Young, Rachel’s interpreter. We also find Taylor Zakhar Perez who once again lends his features to Marco and Maisie Richardson aka Chloe. Mrs. Flynn is still played by Molly ringwald and Mike Evans by Stephen jennings.
What we liked about The Kissing Booth 3 on Netflix
The Kissing Booth 3 may not be the movie of the year, but one thing is for sure, we can’t help but love it! It must be said that this light and joyful romcom is frankly balm in the heart. The duet played by Joey King and Joel Courtney (still) works wonderfully and the montage interspersed with several happy and sparkling musical scenes gives us the potato. Admittedly, the scenario is very simplistic and sometimes surreal, but the only thing we ask of the saga The Kissing Booth it’s to have fun while fishing. And there, we can clearly say that it is a successful mission! Indeed, how not to want to be their side to have fun so much their life tinged with carelessness and Californian sun seems brilliant (all proportion kept of course). Moreover, we really appreciated the conclusion given to Elle’s narrative arc, which we find rather fair. Because, in addition to being feeling good, The Kissing Booth 3 can boast of tackling important themes - such as the passage to adulthood, separation, the discovery of oneself - which will speak to the younger generations.
What we didn’t like about the Kissing Booth 3 on Netflix
The only remark we can make to the saga carried by Joey King is to have recycled old plots already used in the first two opus. The rivalry between Noah and Marco, for example, feels very hot. Especially since the conclusion of Marco’s narrative arc is quickly swept aside, as if it never mattered (although it does). Finally, nothing new under the sun in this new plot. Elle Evans always bends over backwards to satisfy those around her, Noah still annoys us as much with his heightened jealousy and Lee continues his drama (but that we love). Fortunately, the conclusion to Elle’s narrative arc helps counterbalance all of that and gives the saga a satisfying ending.
