Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 will soon be stepping up a gear. Activision has indeed announced the arrival of the title on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, with a series of technical and visual improvements to the key, but also on Nintendo Switch.
Last September, Activision and Vicarious Visions gave skateboard enthusiasts a nostalgic gift: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2. This remaster of the Pro Skater games, developed by Neversoft in 1999 and 2000, did not experience the slightest difficulty in finding its audience and thus received very good feedback from players and the press. And indeed, good news for skateboard fans: it will soon be time to go for a ride. Indeed, Activision has just announced that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 was also set to move to the next generation, with release slated for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S on March 26. A Nintendo Switch version will also arrive in 2021, without further details at the present time.
On the program of this next-gen version: the possibility of playing in Native 4K at 60 fps or 1080p at 120 fps, with a better experience with shadows and reflections, improvements in the grain of the skaters as well as the possibility of enjoying a audio spatialization. Of new content will also be in the game with access to the Ripper Skater, retro gear for the “Create Your Skater” mode and retro skins for Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero and Rodney Mullen.
