It has now been several months since The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes was released. And as we know, Supermassive Games is currently working on The Devil In Me, which will serve as the conclusion to the first season of the horror anthology.. But in general, a season 1 implies the arrival of a season 2 in the future. And indeed, it appears that the studio already knows where it intends to go next since no less than five new game names were filed on January 31 on EUIPO.
Five new The Dark Pictures games dropped
The Craven Man, O Death, Directive 8020, Intercession and Winterfold: this is what should be the name of the next five opuses from The Dark Pictures. Unfortunately, that’s all we’ll have to be content with for the moment since apart from the official logos, no other information has been communicated. Nevertheless, it remains excellent news for fans of the genre who are more or less guaranteed to have enough to cause some scares until at least 2027if Supermassive maintains the franchise’s current annual release pace.

Started with Man of Medan in 2019, The Dark Pictures Anthology offers interactive movie-like horrific experiences. Each opus allows players to immerse themselves in a new story with different characters, which they are responsible for leading alive until the end as the decisions they make. A very complicated exercise, especially knowing that all death is final. The next part, The Devil In Me, will arrive in 2022 and will feature guest documentarians visiting a replica of the ‘Castle of Murders’ of HH Holmes, America’s first serial killer.
