The Star Wars Jedi saga is well on its way to becoming a major part of Star Wars mythology. After the excellent Fallen Order, we will soon be able to find the hero Cal Kestis (and his droid BD-1) in the sequel Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. But this anthology would soon no longer be confined to video games. According to insider Kristian Harloff, a Disney+ series on the Fallen Order saga has reportedly been officially ordered.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor: Cal Kestis live, is it possible?

Everything rests on Cameron Monaghan, the actor who plays Cal Kestis. The character resembling him like two drops of water by the magic of motion capture, the transition to live would be easy to do. Still according to Kristian Harloff, no production date would have been set in stone. But Cameron Monaghan is said to have already signed on to reprise the role on Disney+.

Given the timing, it seems complicated to produce, shoot and edit a series in a year or less. Jedi Survivor is indeed scheduled for 2023. But we can imagine that the hypothetical Disney+ series would enrich the Star Wars Jedi anthology with other adventures of Cal Kestis, complementary to those of the games.

This would also explain recent statements by Ewan McGregor. The interpreter of Obi-Wan had confided that he was difficult to guarantee that the scenario of films and series stick to those of video games. Hmmm… Telltale slip, my dear McGregor? Either way, Disney is well aware that the storyline of Star Wars has its branches in several media – and wants the extended universe to hold water.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released in 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Set 10 years after the Jedi Purge, it will follow Cal Kestis on a “darker” adventure than the first installment. And to discover the acting talents of Cameron Monaghan, know that he plays the role of Jerome Valeska, main antagonist of the series Gotham. He also plays Ian Gallagher in the US version of Shameless.
