Launched in 2020, the collaboration between LEGO and Nintendo was prolific to say the least in the months that followed. Indeed, The LEGO Super Mario collection has since been enriched with many additional sets, like the one dedicated to the Nintendo 64 or the very recent set dedicated to Luigi. Not to mention the multiple expansions and the multiplayer mode which have also strengthened the experience lately. And as you might expect, it’s not over yet. On the occasion of the Halloween celebrations, LEGO and Nintendo have announced the arrival of three new expansion sets inspired by the universe … of Luigi’s Mansion! Once again, it is therefore Mario’s brother who will be in the spotlight, which should delight more than one.

These new sets will mark the arrival of some of the iconic characters from Nintendo’s license, whose latest episode, Luigi’s Mansion 3, was a real hit on Nintendo Switch. This includes in particular Boo and King Boo, the Ectochian, Mr. Marais and Toad, among others. Of course, players will be able to pick up any a bunch of new challenges in these “Ghostly adventures as frightening as they are fun”, which will be as immersive as possible thanks to the presence of iconic sound effects and music from games. Here’s what to expect in each of the expansions:

  • Luigi’s Mansion Lab and Ectoblast expansion will allow you to equip your miniatures with an Ectoblast, with or without Spectroflash, in order to catch the golden ghost and collect coins in the laboratory machine. Professor K. Tastroff and his potions will also be there.
  • The expansion “The entrance to Luigi’s Mansion” will allow you to wander in the spooky iconic mansion of the game. You will then have to find a way to defeat Mr. Marais, without getting caught by Boo and while getting your hands on the golden bone for the Ectochian.
  • Luigi’s Mansion Haunted Hide-and-Seek Expansion will allow you to create a level to go hunting for precious coins by facing ghosts. It will also be possible to combine this set with any other LEGO Super Mario set to enjoy a more complete experience.
