We are of course talking about the Sony conference, the PlayStation Showcase, which has lifted the veil on the many third-party productions as first-party expected on PS5 in the coming months. God of War Ragnarök, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, GTA V… we give you a summary of all the announcements that you shouldn’t miss.
If we remove a few rare occasional communication times as well as the small episode of State of Play broadcast last July, Sony has been particularly quiet throughout the summer, despite the presence of major events like E3 or Gamescom. However, it seems that back to school is for everyone. So it is with a new PlayStation Showcase of approximately 40 minutes that the Japanese firm has decided to make its comeback, to a presentation like we haven’t had since September 2020. Rich in announcements, this one gave us a nice glimpse of “The future of the PS5” by giving pride of place to PlayStation Studios productions and high-caliber third-party games. so here’s the summary of all the announcements that should not be missed during this evening:
A remake for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
After an advertisement and a speech by Jim Ryan, it is on the announcement of a new game – in a way – that the PlayStation Showcase opened tonight. Through a short teaser, we were indeed entitled to the announcement of a PS5 remake for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which will be developed by Aspyr and published by Lucasfilm Games. Unfortunately, no further information at this time.
A gameplay trailer for Project Eve
We go on with a long trailer made up of many gameplay phases for Project Eve, an RPG developed by SHIFT UP for the PS5.
New images for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
Announced earlier this summer, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands stood out this evening with a new trailer multiplying the gameplay sequences and allowing to enjoy the atmosphere of the game, which seems more than sassy. The title, developed by Gearbox Entertainment and published by 2K Interactive, is expected for March 25, 2022.
A release window and a trailer for Forspoken
Announced at the PS5 conference in June 2020, Forspoken (then called Project Athia) was suspected of appearing at that party due to the Instagram post of the actress playing the lead role of the game. the case since we were entitled to a new trailer combining cinematics and gameplay sequences to allow us to take full advantage of the engine while discovering more of the game world. Published by Square Enix, it will arrive in spring 2022 exclusively for consoles on PS5.
A trailer for Rainbow Six Extraction

Tonight is Rainbow Six Extraction which has graced us with its presence with a new trailer presenting more the universe and the history of the game. As a reminder, the title will be available early 2022, on a date which remains to be specified.
Alan Wake Remastered dated and illustrated
While we have just received confirmation thatAlan Wake remaster will be available soon, we were able to discover the first images through a trailer during this evening. What to enjoy the reworked graphics of the game developed by Remedy, which will be available from October 5, 2021 on PS4 and PS5.
GTA V reveals itself in its PS5 version with a release window
Its success has not faltered since its initial release in 2013 and yet players are asking for more. More than a year after its announcement, we finally discover the first images of the next-gen version of GTA V, which will include many visual improvements and probably some additional content, the nature of which remains to be specified for the moment. Sure, GTA Online will also be affected by this remaster. The game will arrive on PS5 in spring 2022.
A gameplay trailer for Ghostwire: Tokyo
It should have arrived next month but unfortunately it will be different for the new game of Tango Gameworks. Ghostwire: Tokyo revealed in more detail during this PlayStation Showcase thanks to a beautiful trailer combining gameplay and cinematic sequences. What to enjoy the very special atmosphere of this horrific action title, expected for 2022 on PS5.
A new trailer for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
Revealed at the Square Enix E3 2021 conference, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy remembered fondly with new story trailer embellished with some gameplay images. As a reminder, the game developed by Eidos Montreal will be available from October 26, 2021.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt presents its different classes
Expected for 2021 on a date that remains to be specified, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt, the free-to-play battle royale developed by Sharkmob AB, stood out this evening through several gameplay sequences presenting the different character classes that it will be possible to embody.
Deathloop shows up one last time before its release
Whereas it is expected for September 14, exclusively for consoles on PS5, Sony obviously did not miss this opportunity to bring Deathloop back to light for the last time. Kid Amnesia Exhibition announces itself with a mysterious teaser
From a collaboration between Epic Games and Radiohead, Kid A Mnesia Exhibition was announced through a very mysterious teaser. The game, which is difficult to say much about at the moment, is expected to arrive in the month of November 2021 on PS5.
Uncharted 4 and the Lost Legacy are coming to PS5 and PC
They left their mark on the PS4 generation, and they’ll be back soon. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy are coming soon to PS5 and PC in a remastered compilation called Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. This will be available early 2022, on a date which remains to be specified for the moment.
Marvel’s Wolverine announced by Insomniac Games on PS5
The hallway sounds suggested the presence of a new Marvel game, and it was. But against all odds, this isn’t Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. If this new game will also be developed by Insomniac Games, this time it will focus on Marvel’s Wolverine. Unfortunately, no more information for the moment since the title was only entitled to a short teaser and to a single output platform: the PS5.
Gran Turismo 7 dates and presents circuits and cars
He was part of the slew of games announced at the PS5 conference in June 2020, but unfortunately he had not been talked about since. Tonight, Gran Turismo 7 has made its comeback to present us various gameplay images, allowing us to discover some of the circuits and vehicles that will be in the game. The opportunity also to have a brief overview of the customization mechanics. Polyphony Digital’s game is expected for March 4, 2022 on PS4 and PS5.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 finally announced too!
Surprise! Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was also in the game tonight, and he introduced himself to us with a first trailer revealing the presence of Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Venom, who will therefore be the big bad of this new opus. The game will not happen however not before 2023, and will also be developed by Insomniac Games. The studio is definitely very prolific lately.
God of War Ragnarök (that’s his name) is finally illustrated with a first trailer
It was without a doubt the most anticipated announcement of the evening, and it served as the grand finale. Almost a year to the day after its initial announcement, Sony has finally revealed to us the first images of God of War Ragnarök, which will therefore be the direct sequel to the soft-reboot released in 2018. We were able to see Kratos and Atreus, accompanied by certain characters like Mimir and Freya, who will make their comeback. It was also the opportunity to discover magnificent gameplay images from the PS5 version, with combat always very visceral and phases of exploration conveyed at stake. Still no release date, however, the game having been postponed to 2022.
