Game of Thrones isn’t full of nice characters, yet one of them stands out.

While we revealed to you recently that Sean Bean made revelations on the death scene of Ned Stark in Game of Thrones, it is in another nice character from another family that we are interested today. Even though most of the characters in the series are nuanced and have as many flaws as they have good qualities – this is one thing that makes Game Of Thrones such a complex and interesting series – one of them is clearly a good paw and, as one would have expected from the start, this is one of the reasons he unfortunately did not survive until the end.

They are Tommen Baratheon, son of Cersei Lannister and, officially Robert Baratheon, unofficially Jaime Lannister. The youngest of Cersei did not inherit neither the perfidy of his mother, nor the ambition of his father and it is a tender young man, kind and surely too naive who therefore found himself, after the death of Joffrey , at the head of Westeros. One more proof that Game Of Thrones didn’t reward the kind characters since it’s clear Tommen never had bad intentions. Like the Stark, he even owned a pet, often demonstrating a certain empathy.

Manipulated by his mother and by Margaery Tyrell, Tommen always tried to be kind and it was following the explosion of the Great Septuary of Baelor that he committed suicide. Unable to bear that his mother could have killed so many people, Tommen preferred to throw himself out the window rather than having to face Cersei and her actions. In short, he was a character far too pure for the series., a sort of anomaly in a devious and murderous game, but that we would have liked to be able to see flourish more in milder conditions and far from his mother. Speaking of her, that’s why Arya should never have wanted to kill Cersei in Season 8 of Game of Thrones.
