Emma Mackey and Romain Duris live a forbidden love in the film Eiffel which traces the birth of the Iron Lady.
Great news for Emma Mackey fans! While waiting for the return of the actress in season 3 of Sex Education which promises to be overwhelming, the latter will be delighted to see the star on the big screen. Indeed, Emma Mackey will be playing alongside Romain Duris from the film Eiffel by Martin Bourboulon (to whom we owe the French comedy Mom or Dad). A fiction “made in France” which retraces in a romanticized way the creation of the symbol of the Capital, the Eiffel Tower. The pitch? While Gustave Eiffel, at the height of his career after having participated in the construction of the Statue of Liberty, refuses to collaborate with the French government for the Universal Exhibition of 1889, the latter crosses the road of his youthful love. A decisive meeting that will change his life, and that of the city of Paris!
A historical biopic which is therefore freely inspired by the life of the famous French engineer. Indeed, while the Iron Lady is gently erected against the pride of Parisians, Romain Duris who lends his features to Gustave Eiffel lives a forbidden relationship with his first love, embodied by Emma Mackey. The opportunity for the actress who was born in France to return to the sources and in particular to the language of Molière. In the casting, we will also find Pierre Deladonchamps in the role of the deceived husband as well as Armande Boulanger and Andranic Manet. The film is scheduled for release on August 25 at the cinema. In the meantime, check out Andrew Garfield and Jessica Chastain on the verge of bankruptcy in the trailer for The Eyes of Tammy Faye.
